R A. Installation of the GAPCU
R (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
R (2) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
R (3) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
R (4) Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct
R condition.
R (5) Install the GAPCU on its rack (6).
R (6) Push the GAPCU on its rack (6) to connect the electrical connector
R (5).
R (7) Engage the nuts (1) on the lugs (2) and tighten.

R B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit
R breaker(s):
R 11XG, 2XG, 17XG

R C. Operational Test of the Ground Auxiliary Power Control Unit (GAPCU)
R (1) Do an operational test of the GAPCU with the CFDS (Ref. TASK 24-41-
R 00-740-002).
R NOTE : As an alternative procedure for the operational test without____
R the CFDS, you can do this procedure (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-
R 002).
R Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are correctly
R energized with the external power supply.

R (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other
R items.
R (2) Remove the warning notice(s).
R (3) Close the access door 811.
R (4) Close the access door 121AL.
R (5) Remove the access platform(s).
RECEPTACLE - EXTERNAL POWER (20XG) - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

B. Safety Precautions
(1)
Make sure that the external power connector is not connected to the aircraft receptacle.
(2)
Put warning notice(s) on the access door 121AL to tell persons not to use the external power receptacle.
(3)
In the cockpit, on the overhead ELEC panel 35VU, release these pushbutton switches:
-BAT 1, BAT 2,
-APU GEN,
-GEN 1, GEN 2,
-EXT PWR.
(4)
In the cockpit, put warning notice(s) to tell persons not to operate the pushbutton switches on these overhead panels:
-21VU (EMER ELEC PWR),
-35VU (ELEC).
(5)
In the cockpit, on the APU section of the overhead panel 25VU, put warning notice(s) to tell persons not to start the APU.
