Energize the Aircraft Electrical Circuits from the External Power
WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE AIRCRAFT IS GROUNDED.

WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CIRCUITS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ISOLATED BEFORE
_______ YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT.
CAUTION : DO NOT USE A GROUND POWER UNIT WITH A CAPACITY LESS THAN 90 KVA. IF
_______ YOU USE A LESS POWERFUL UNIT:
-AN OVERLOAD OF THE GROUND POWER UNIT COULD OCCUR
-IT COULD BE NECESSARY TO RESET MANY COMPUTERS ON THE AIRCRAFT.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
NOTE : In the avionics compartment, if the temperature is below -15 deg.C____ (+5.00 deg.F), do the cold-weather maintenance procedure (Ref. TASK 12-31-31-660-001).
NOTE : When you do maintenance work on the electrical circuits, it can be____ not possible to supply electrical power to the aircraft.
(1) The aircraft must be grounded (Ref. TASK 12-34-24-869-002).

B. Get Access
(1) Open the access door 121AL to get access to the external power receptacle and the panel 108VU.

C. Install the cable holding strap
(1) Attach the CABLE HOLDING STRAP (98A24403000000) to the feeder cable.
(2) Connect the snap hook of the cable holding strap to the fitting on the aircraft structure.

R D. Connect the connector
R R R R WARNING : BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE GROUND POWER UNIT TO THE EXTERNAL POWER_______ RECEPTACLE OF THE AIRCRAFT, MAKE SURE THAT THE EXTERNAL ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY IS NOT ENERGIZED. IF IT IS ENERGIZED, DANGEROUS ARCING CAN OCCUR.

CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE CABLE STRAP SUPPORTS ALL THE WEIGHT OF THE
_______ CABLE WHEN THE CONNECTOR IS CONNECTED. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE EXTERNAL POWER RECEPTACLE.
NOTE : Examine the external power supply-cable and the external power
____ receptacle before you do the connection. If you find corrosion or damage, or if the pins are not aligned correctly, replace the external power receptacle (Ref. TASK 24-41-51-000-001) and (Ref. TASK 24-41-51-400-001).
(1) Connect the connector of the ground power unit to the external receptacle of the aircraft.

A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuit from the external power
(1)
On the ELEC panel 35VU, make sure that:
-the GEN1, GEN2, APU GEN, BUS TIE and AC ESS FEED pushbutton switches are pushed,
-all the other pushbutton switches are released.
