A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the access platform is in position at the access door
822.
(2)
Make sure that the access door 822 is open.
(3)
Make sure that the access platform is in position at the access door
121AL.
(4)
Make sure that the access door 121AL is open.
(5)
Make sure that the external power connector is not connected to the aircraft receptacle.
(6)
Make sure that a warning notice is in position on the access door 121AL to tell persons not to use the external power receptacle.
(7)
In the cockpit, on the overhead ELEC panel 35VU, make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:
-BAT 1, BAT 2,
-APU GEN,
-GEN 1, GEN 2,
-EXT PWR.
(8)
In the cockpit, make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to operate the pushbutton switches on these overhead panels:
-21VU (EMER ELEC PWR),
-35VU (ELEC).

In the cockpit, on the APU section of the overhead panel 25VU, make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to start the APU.

A. Installation of the Contactor
CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTACTOR LOCATING PIN IS CORRECTLY ENGAGED
_______ IN ITS RECESS LOCATED IN ONE POWER TERMINAL. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE LOCATING PIN WHEN YOU APPLY THE TORQUE.
(1)
Put the contactor (3) on the tapped barrels (6) of the contactor base (5).
(2)
TORQUE the captive screws (2) to between 33.63 and 41.6 lbf.in (0.38 and 0.47 m.daN).
(3)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(4)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Connect the connector (4) to the contactor (3). Subtask 24-38-55-710-050
B. Operational Test of the Battery Charge Limiter (BCL)
(1) Do an operational test of the BCL from the CFDS (Ref. TASK 24-38-00-710-001).
