(1)
Remove the bolts (8), remove and discard the lockwashers (9), remove the washers (10) and the ground cable (11).
(2)
Remove the bolt (12), remove and discard the lockwasher (13), remove the electrical wire (14).
(3)
Remove the bolt (4), remove and discard the lockwasher (3), remove the electrical wire (2).
(4)
Remove the bolts (7), the washers (6) and the nuts (1).
(5)
Remove the battery shunt (5).

Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2)
In the cockpit, on the ELEC panel 35VU, make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:

BAT 2.
(3)
In the cockpit, on the ELEC panel 35VU, make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to operate the batteries, is in position.
(4)
Make sure that the access platform is in position at the avionics compartment doors 812 and 822.
(5)
Make sure that the access doors 812 and 822 are open.
(6)
Make sure that the access panels of the AC/DC emergency power center 106VU and the battery power center 105VU are open.
