4. Procedure

A. Installation of the GPCU
(1)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(2)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(3)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(4)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(5)
Put the GPGU in position in its rack (6).
(6)
Slowly push the GPCU until it connects with the fixed connector (5).
(7)
Lift the 2 knurled nuts (1) over the 2 studs (2).
(8) Tighten the 2 knurled nuts (1). Subtask 24-41-34-865-058
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 7XG, 11XG, 2XG

C. Operational Test of the Ground Power Control Unit
(1) Do an operational test of the GPCU with the CFDS (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-740-002).
NOTE : As an alternative procedure for the operational test without
____ the CFDS, you can do this procedure (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002). Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are correctly energized with the external power supply.

(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(3)
Close the access door 811.
(4)
Close the access door 121AL.
(5)

R (4) In the cockpit, put warning notice(s) to tell persons not to operate
R the pushbutton switches on these overhead panels:
R - 21VU (EMER ELEC PWR),
R - 35VU (ELEC).
