 A. Do a charging cycle of the battery 1 (2) related to the BCL 1 (2) in operation.
 (1)
 on the ECAM control panel:

 -push the ELEC key to get the ELEC system page.

 (2)
 In the cockpit, on the ELEC panel 35VU:

 -push the related BAT 1 (2) pushbutton switch to start the charging cycle of the battery 1 (2).

 (3)
 On the lower ECAM display unit:

 -
the green line between the BAT 1 (2) indication and the DC BAT busbar indication comes into view. The arrow points to the BAT 1

 (2) indication,

 -
the related parameter indications (voltage and current) come into view green.

 

 (4)
 On the ELEC system page, make sure that the ground power-unit voltage stays above 114VAC during the charge.

 (5)
 Wait until the battery contactor opens.

 (10) Release the BAT 1 (2) pushbutton switch related to the BCL not in operation.

 B. Removal of the Battery 1(2)
 (1) Remove the battery (Ref. TASK 24-38-51-000-001) only if:
 -
the failure of the BCL 1(2) occurred on ground at power up, or

 -
the time the aircraft was on ground was more than 3 hours.


 (2) Send the battery 1(2) to the overhaul facility.

 A. Close Access
 (1)
 Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

 (2)
 Close the access panel of the BATTERY power center 105VU.

 (3)
 Close the access door 822.


 (4) Remove the access platform(s).

 B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
 (1)
 Do the EIS stop procedure
 (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-002).


 (2)
 Put a warning notice in position in the cockpit to tell the crew that one BCL does not operate.

 (3)
 Make an entry in the logbook.

 (4)
 De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
