A. Removal of the Batteries CAUTION : BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE THE BATTERY. IF NOT YOU CAN CAUSE
_______ DAMAGE TO THE ACCESS DOOR 822. THE BATTERY IS HEAVY.
(1)
Turn the knurled nut (4) by a quarter turn.
(2)
Disconnect the connector (5).
(3)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(4)
Loosen the clamp (6).
(5)
Disconnect the ventilation duct (7) and put a blanking cap on the duct.
(6)
Cut and remove the lockwire from the two wing nuts (2).
(7)
Loosen the two wing nuts (2).
(8)
Release the two rods (3) that hold the battery.
(9)
Remove the battery (1).

Cut and remove the copper shear wire between the knurled nut (4) and the connector (5).
(2)
Turn the knurled nut (4) by a quarter turn.
(3)
Disconnect the connector (5).
(4)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(5)
Loosen the clamp (6).
(6)
Disconnect the ventilation duct (7) and put a blanking cap on the duct.
(7)
Cut and remove the lockwire from the two wing nuts (2).
(8)
Loosen the two wing nuts (2).
(9)
Release the two rods (3) that hold the battery.
(10) Remove the battery (1).

B. Make sure that there is no electrolyte leakage in the ventilation duct. NOTE : If there is, remove the duct, clean it and rinse it with water.
