Operational Test of the Battery Charge Limiter (BCL), (with the CFDS)
1. Reason for the Job
__________________
Refer to the MPD TASK: 243800-01 Operational test of the BITE function of the BCL. Make sure that the FAULT legends of the BAT pushbutton switches and the RAT & EMER GEN annunciator come on.
NOTE : If the CFDS is not available, there is an alternative method for this
____ procedure. This task gives the first method. For the alternative method, refer to the other task in this page block.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel 35VU, make sure that the BAT 1 and BAT 2 pushbutton switches are released. (On these pushbutton switches, the OFF legend is on).
(3) On the MCDU, on the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST page, get the ELEC menu (Ref. TASK 31-32-00-860-004).

B. Get access to the Avionics Compartment
(1) Put an access platform at the avionics compartment doors 812 and 822.
(2) Open the access doors 812 and 822.
(3) Open the access panels of the AC/DC emergency power center 106VU and BATTERY power center 105VU.
