A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the access platform is in position at the access doors 812 and 822.
(2)
Make sure that the access doors 812 and 822 are open.
(3)
In the avionics compartment, make sure that the access panel of the AC/DC emergency power center 106VU and BATTERY power center 105VU are open.

A. Installation of the Contactor
CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTACTOR LOCATING PIN IS CORRECTLY ENGAGED
_______ IN ITS RECESS LOCATED IN ONE POWER TERMINAL. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE LOCATING PIN WHEN YOU APPLY THE TORQUE.
(1)
Put the contactor (3) on the tapped barrels (6) of the contactor base (5).
(2)
TORQUE the two captive screws (2) to between 23.9 and 26.55 lbf.in
(0.27 and 0.30 m.daN).
(3)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(4)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(5)
Connect the connector (4) on the contactor (3).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 3PC, 1XC, 2XC, 7XE, 4PE, 6XE

C. Test of the DC Shed Essential Bus Contactor
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3)
Make sure that the DC ESS BUS SHED warning does not come into view.
(4)
Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(5)
De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
In the avionics compartment, close the access panels of the AC/DC emergency power center 106VU and the BATTERY power center 105VU.
(3)
Close the access doors 812 and 822.
(4)
Remove the access platform(s).
REFUELING ON BATTERY - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
________________________________________________
1. General
_______ (Ref. Fig. 001) The network consists of busbars 501PP and 502PP (28 VDC). It is supplied as soon as the refuel door located on the fuselage below the right wing is opened. Two supplies are then possible:
-
28 VDC service bus 601PP if at least ground service busses are energized,
-
28 VDC hot bus 701PP (directly linked to battery 1) if no other power is available on board.
NOTE : Refueling power supply is automatically cut off ten minutes after.
