R A. Removal of the GAPCU
R (1) Loosen the nuts (1).
R (2) Lower the nuts (1).
R (3) Pull the GAPCU (4) on its rack (6) to disconnect the electrical
R connectors (5).
R (4) Remove the GAPCU from its rack (6).
R (5) Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.

R A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
R (1) Make sure that the access platform is in position at the access door
R 811.
R (2) Make sure that the access door 811 is open.
R (3) Make sure that the access platform is in position at the access door
R 121AL.
R (4) Make sure that the access door 121AL is open.
R (5) Make sure that the external power connector is not connected to the
R aircraft external power receptacle.
R (6) Make sure that a warning notice is in position on the access door
R 121AL to tell persons not to use the external power receptacle.
R (7) In the cockpit, on the overhead ELEC panel 35VU, make sure that these
R pushbutton switches are released:
R - BAT 1, BAT 2,
R - APU GEN,
R - GEN 1, GEN 2,
R - EXT PWR.
R (8) In the cockpit, make sure that warning notice(s) is (are) in position
R to tell persons not to operate the pushbutton switches on these
R overhead panels:
R - 21VU (EMER ELEC PWR),
R - 35VU (ELEC).
R (9) In the cockpit, on the APU section of the overhead panel 25VU, make
R sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to
R start the APU.
