(1) Extend the slats (Ref. TASK 27-80-00-866-004).

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

C. Connect the aircraft to the ground (Ref. TASK 12-34-24-869-002).

D. Get Access
(1) Put the adjustable access platform in position at the wing outboard leading-edge.
(2)
For the left wing. R (a) Remove and retain the access panels: 522AB.
(3)
For the right wing. R (a) Remove and retain the access panels: 622AB.

A. Inspection of the End Fittings of Electrical Conduits (Ref. Fig. 602/TASK 24-92-00-991-006, 604/TASK 24-92-00-991-008, 605/TASK 24-92-00-991-009)
WARNING : BE CAREFUL NOT TO CUT YOUR FINGERS. FLAKES OF NICKEL ARE SHARP.

(1) At each fitting use the procedure that follows to protect against corrosion:
(a) Use CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and a lint-free cloth to remove any contamination from the fitting.

(b) Remove any flakes or blisters, make sure that the you do not damage the base metal while you do this task.
NOTE : A dental or a seal tools are recommended for the removal

of flakes and blisters.
(c) Use a brush or an airless spray to apply a continuous coat of STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-008) with a thickness of
0.030 mm (0.001 in.), to cover all the fitting.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2) For the left wing. R (a) Install the access panels: 522AB.
(3) For the right wing.

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1)
Disconnect the aircraft from the ground (Ref. TASK 12-34-24-869-002).
(2)
Retract the slats (Ref. TASK 27-80-00-866-005).
(3)
Remove the access platform(s).
