A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. TASK 71-13-00-010-040): - FOR 1000EM1 437AL, 438AR - FOR 1000EM2 447AL, 448AR

A. Lubrication of the Consumable Materials
(1) Lubricate the new O-ring (4) with the OILS (Material No. 03-002).
(2) Lubricate the new O-ring (2) with the OILS (Material No. 03-002).

B. Installation of the Filter Element
WARNING : WEAR GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THE LOCKWIRE. CUT,_______ REMOVE AND DISCARD THE LOCKWIRE AS YOU DO THE TASK. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT OR BLIND YOU.
CAUTION : MAKE SURE THE COMPONENTS ARE SEATED IN THE IDG SCAVENGE FILTER_______ CAVITY BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE FILTER COVER. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE FILTER COVER SCREWS TO FORCE THE FILTER COMPONENTS INTO THE HOUSING.
CAUTION : DO NOT CLEAN AND USE AGAIN A FILTER ELEMENT THAT YOU REMOVED._______
(1) Remove the blanking cap from the filter cavity port.
(2) Install the new O-ring (4) on the filter element (3) and make sure that it is in the correct position.
(3) Install the new O-ring (2) on the filter cover (1) and make sure that it is in the correct position.
(4) Put the filter element (3) in the filter cavity.
(5) Install the filter cover (1).
(6) TORQUE the filter cover to between 13 and 15 lbf.ft (1.76 and 2.03 m.daN).
(7) Safety the filter cover with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).

R B. Installation of the Scavenge and Charge Filter Elements

R R R R WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE COMPONENTS ARE IN THE CORRECT POSITION IN_______ THE FILTER CAVITIES BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE FILTER COVERS. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE FILTER COVER SCREWS TO PUT THE FILTER COMPONENTS IN THE HOUSINGS.
R CAUTION : DO NOT CLEAN AND USE AGAIN A FILTER ELEMENT THAT YOU REMOVED._______
R NOTE : The procedure is the same for the two filters____
R (1) Remove the blanking cap from the filter cavity port.

R (4) Put the filter element (3) in the filter cavity.
