 (3) Install the QAD adapter (2) on the accessory-gearbox mounting pad with the screws (3).
 NOTE : Make sure that the words "TOP CFM" on the QAD adapter are in____ the top position (12 o'clock).
 (4) Use a brush to apply a thin layer of SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-063) to the conical surface of the heads of the screws (3) and to the threads of the screws.
 (5) TORQUE the screws (3) to between 348 and 384 lbf.in (3.93 and 4.33 m.daN).

DO NOT BREATHE THE VAPOR. IF YOU GET THE CLEANING FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES FLUSH IT AWAY WITH WATER. GET MEDICAL AID IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED. 
R R  CAUTION : IF YOU REPLACE THE QAD P/N 772896 WITH A QAD P/N 740123, YOU_______ MUST REPLACE THE IDG "NEW EPGS" WITH AN IDG P/N 740119.

 

R  CAUTION : DO NOT LET THE LUBRICANT STAY IN THE DOWEL PIN HOLES AND SCREW_______ 
R  HOLES OF THE QAD ADAPTER. LUBRICANT BUILDUP CAN CAUSE THE 
R  PRESSURE TO INCREASE. INCREASED PRESSURE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO 
R  THE GEARBOX WHEN YOU INSTALL AND TORQUE THE SCREWS. 
R  (1) Clean the gearbox mounting surface, index pin hole and screw holes. 
R  (a) Use a clean cotton swab and lint-free cloth made moist with 
R  CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-002) to remove the lubricant 
R  from the screw holes and index pin holes. 
R  (b) Use a clean lint-free cloth made moist with CLEANING AGENTS 
R  (Material No. 11-002) to clean the gearbox mounting surface and 
R  QAD adapter. Wipe dry before cleaning fluid evaporates. 
R  NOTE : Make sure that the stripe of the QAD ring is aligned with____ 
R  the stripe on the adapter plate. 
R  (2) Install the gasket (6) on the face of the QAD adapter (2). Make sure 
R  that the index pin hole of the QAD adapter is aligned with the index 
R  pin hole of the QAD gasket. 
R  (3) Install the QAD adapter (2) on the accessory-gearbox mounting-pad 
R  with the screws (3). 
R  NOTE : Make sure that the words "TOP CFM" on the QAD adapter are in____ 
R  the top position (12 o'clock). 
R  (4) Use a brush to apply a thin layer of SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 
R  05-063) to the conical surface of the heads of the screws (3) and to
