A. Depressurization of the IDG Case
WARNING : POINT THE OVERFLOW DRAIN HOSE INTO A CONTAINER WHEN YOU CONNECT_______ THE HOSE TO THE OVERFLOW DRAIN VALVE. THIS WILL PREVENT BURNS FROM THE HOT OIL SPRAY. HOT OIL CAN CAUSE BURNS TO EYES AND SKIN.
CAUTION : DO NOT USE DEVICES OTHER THAN THE APPROVED OVERFLOW DRAIN-HOSE_______ FITTING. HARD METAL OBJECTS SUCH AS SCREWDRIVERS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE OVERFLOW DRAIN-VALVE SEAT.
(1) Put a container 5.7 l (1.5 USgal) (11) below the IDG (15).
(2) Remove the dust cap (10) from the overflow drain valve (13).
(3) Put the end of the overflow drain hose (12) of the TANK - ENGINE OIL FILLING UP (DH13PM) in the container (11).
(4) Do this step to depressurize the IDG case:
(a) Connect the overflow drain hose (12) of the TANK - ENGINE OIL FILLING UP (DH13PM) to the overflow drain valve (13).
