R  in a Generator Control Relay (GCR) trip or lockout of the BTC relay. 
R  After a failure has been detected, the corresponding isolation 
R  routine is executed. The only isolations that can be executed after 
R  another isolation has been completed (without the protection latch 
R  being cleared (cold start or GCS cycled)) are Differential 
R  Protection, Disconnect, Fire trips, and unrelated faults. Whenever 
R  the "controlled shut down" flag in the NVM is not true, the Generator 
R  Control Switch (GCS) must be cycled to allow the GCR to re-close.

R  The maintenance BITE is intended to operate with the relevant 
R  generator not running. 
R  The maintenance BITE is executed only upon command from the GAPCU. 
R  The GAPCU only requests the maintenance BITE if requested by the

 Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
 (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

 Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).

 Start the engine (Ref. TASK 71-00-00-710-003). NOTE : You can do this test: start engine No. 1 only. Energize the

____ electrical circuit No. 2 with an electrical ground power unit (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002) or with the APU (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

 On the HYD/FUEL panel 40VU, make sure that the L TK PUMPS/1 AND 2 and R TK PUMPS/1 AND 2 pushbutton switches are pushed.

 (5)
 On the ECAM control panel, push the FUEL key. On the lower ECAM display unit, make sure that the L wing tank pumps 1 and 2 and R wing tank pumps 1 and 2 operate correctly.
