____ PWR/AVAIL caution light and the AVAIL legend of the EXT PWR pusbutton switch are off.
(2) On the ENG panel 115VU:
-make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine, is in position.

A. Installation of the EGIU
(1)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(2)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(3)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(4)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(5)
Put the EGIU in position in the rack (6).
(6)
Carefully push the EGIU until it engages the rack receptacle (5).
(7)
Put the knurled nut (1) on the stud (2) and tighten the knurled nut (1).

D. Operational Test of the EGIU
(1)
For 22XU1
(a)
Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001)
(b)
On the ECAM control panel, push the ELEC key (on the lower ECAM DU, the ELEC page comes into view).
(c)
On the ELEC page, make sure that the following EXT PWR parameters are correct:
-AC V = 115 + or - 5V,
-FRQ HZ = 400 + or - 10HZ.
(d)
Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(2)
For 22XU2
(a)
Start the APU (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
