R (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
R (a) Make sure that the warning notices in position to tell persons
R not to start the engine.
R (2) On the overhead panel 50VU:
R (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2)
R pusbutton switch is off.
R (b) Make sure that the warning notice to tell persons not to energize

R A. Visual Check of the Connecting Surfaces
R (1) Remove the protective cover from the accessory-gearbox mounting-pad
R (1).
R (2) Do a visual check of the QAD adapter (2) for damage from incorrect
R shipping or handling.
R (3) Do a visual check of the connecting surfaces of the QAD adapter (2)
R and accessory- gearbox mounting-pad (1). They must be smooth and
R clean.

R B. Lubrication of the QAD Adapter Tension Bolt
R CAUTION : LUBRICATE THE QAD ADAPTER TENSION-BOLT BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE_______
R ADAPTER ON THE GEARBOX MOUNTING PAD. NO LUBRICANT ON THE
R TENSION BOLT CAN CAUSE INCREASED WEAR TO THE TENSION BOLT AND
R THE BRACKET.
R (1) Apply OILS (Material No. 03-002) to the QAD tension bolt.

R C. Installation of the QAD Adapter
R WARNING : DO NOT GET CLEANING FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. PUT ON_______
R PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, GOGGLES AND A FACE MASK. USE THE FLUID IN
R A WELL VENTILATED AREA. DO NOT BREATHE THE VAPOR. IF YOU GET
R THE CLEANING FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES FLUSH IT AWAY
R WITH WATER. GET MEDICAL AID IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME
R IRRITATED.
R CAUTION : IF YOU REPLACE THE QAD P/N 740123 WITH A QAD P/N 772896, YOU_______
R MUST REPLACE THE IDG P/N 740119 WITH AN IDG "NEW EPGS".
R CAUTION : DO NOT LET THE LUBRICANT STAY IN THE DOWEL PIN HOLES AND SCREW_______
R HOLES OF THE QAD ADAPTER. LUBRICANT BUILDUP CAN CAUSE THE
R PRESSURE TO INCREASE. INCREASED PRESSURE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO
R THE GEARBOX WHEN YOU INSTALL AND TORQUE THE SCREWS.
R (1) Clean the gearbox mounting surfaces, index pin hole and screw holes.
R (a) Use a clean cotton swab and lint-free cloth made moist with
R CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-002) to remove the lubricant
R from the screw holes and index pin holes.
R (b) Use a clean lint-free cloth made moist with CLEANING AGENTS
R (Material No. 11-002) to clean the gearbox mounting surface and
R QAD adapter. Wipe dry before cleaning fluid evaporates.
R (2) Install the gasket (6) on the face of the QAD adapter (2). Make sure
R that the index pin hole of the QAD adapter, is aligned with the index
