_______ CONNECT THE DRAIN HOSE TO THE OVERFLOW DRAIN VALVE. MAKE SURE THAT THE DRAIN HOSE HANGS DOWN VERTICAL AND THE END OF THE HOSE IS ABOVE THE OIL LEVEL IN THE CONTAINER. WHEN YOU CONNECT THE DRAIN HOSE TO THE IDG YOU RELEASE THE OIL PRESSURE AND OIL WILL SPRAY FROM THE DRAIN HOSE.
(1)
Put a container in position under the IDG.
(2)
Remove the dust cap from the overflow drain valve.
(3)
Connect the overflow drain hose of the TANK - ENGINE OIL FILLING UP (DH13PM) to the overflow drain valve. Oil can come out of the overflow drain hose of the TANK - ENGINE OIL FILLING UP from the overflow drain valve.
(4)
Disconnect the overflow drain hose of the TANK - ENGINE OIL FILLING UP from the overflow drain valve.
(5) Install the dust cap on the overflow drain valve. Subtask 24-21-49-020-050
B. Removal of the oil-in hose from the IDG CAUTION : USE 2 WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS.
_______ ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION AND ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE HARDWARE.

Put the container below the hoses on the IDG to catch the oil when the hoses are disconnected.
(2)
Disconnect the oil-in hose (55) from the IDG (60). NOTE : Use a second wrench to hold the union on the IDG when you

loosen the hose (55) coupling nut.
(3)
Disconnect the oil-in hose (55) from the lower oil-in tube (45). NOTE : Use a second wrench to hold the fitting on the tube (45) when
____
you loosen the hose (55) coupling nut.
(4)
Put protective covers on the union on the IDG and the two ends of the oil-in hose (55).
(5) Remove the oil-in hose (55) from the engine. Subtask 24-21-49-020-051
C. Removal of the lower oil-in tube assembly CAUTION : USE 2 WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS.
_______ ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION AND ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE HARDWARE.
(1)
Remove the screws (15) that attach the clampshells (25) to the engine brackets at Sta. 158 (B1). (two locations).
(2)
Remove the screw (15), washer (30), nut (35) that attach the clampshell (25) to the channel.
(3)
Disconnect the lower oil-in tube (45) from the upper oil-in tube (10).
NOTE : Use a second wrench to hold the fitting on the tube (10) when

you loosen the tube (45) coupling nut.
(4)
Put protective covers on the two ends of the lower oil-in tube (45).
(5)
Remove the lower oil-in tube (45) from the engine.

D. Removal of the upper oil-in tube assembly CAUTION : USE 2 WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS.
_______ ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION AND ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE HARDWARE.

Disconnect the upper oil-in tube (10) from the IDG oil cooler. NOTE : Use a second wrench to hold the fitting on the IDG oil cooler

Put protective covers on the oil cooler fitting and on the two ends of the upper oil-in tube.
(4)
Remove the upper oil-in tube (10) from the engine.
