If the crack lengthexceedsfifty percent of the distance betweentheedgeand the bend radius tangentline,butdoes not extend intothebend radius, proceedasfollows: (1.) Stopdrill the crack as specified in Chart 801. (2.) Add a formed doublerofthe same material,thickness,andcontouras the web.

8. Fuselage Repairs -Pressurized Section
Wheneverpossible,an inset is provided inthe upper part of the page with the shaded portion indicatinga typical area where repair could be required. The material to be used in the repair is specified either on the illustration or in the lower right hand section of the page.
51-10-00,Figure 604 shows typical bulkheadand channel cracks.
51-10-00, Chart 601 lists item numbers, part numbers, descriptions, reference pages, and actions required if a crack is found during inspection. The required inspection is visual only.
51-10-00,Figure 605 shows typical inspection areas listed in 51-10-00, Chart 601, and where applicable, applies to both left and right sides.
51-70-00,Figure 801 shows approved repair method.
All items in 51-10-00, Chart 601 must be inspected at 30,417 airframe flight hours for effectivity code A and 12,382 airframe flight hours for effectivity code B and repaired if cracks are found.
In addition, items 33, 68, and 99 must be inspected at 34,337 airframe flight hours for effectivity code A and 13,978 airframe flight hours for effectivity code B.
