(a)
Cleanoutside of pump thoroughly.
(b)
Markline with blue Dykemorsome equivalent removablesubstancefrom rear side, across centerplateto drive side for proper reassembly.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE SCREWDRIVER OR SHARP TOOL TO SEPARATE PARTS DURING DISASSEMBLY.
(c)
Removefoursockethead cap screwssecuringrearside, centerplate, and drive side. Screws are threaded into drive side.
(d)
Removefour locknuts fromstudsextendingout of drive sideflange which mates with centerplate.
(e)
Removerearside by rocking it side to sideand sliding infromfourdowels.If it sticks, tap gently with plasticor rubber hammer.
(f)
Removefourstuds from rear side. Removeand discard large O-ring seal from rear side. Pull driveand secondary shafts until drive pins clear gears. Removedrive pins.
(g)
Removedrivegear, secondary gear,and secondary shaftby pulling from centerplate.
(h)
Removedrive shaft by pushing it out of drive side. Removecenterplateand dowels by rocking it from side to side.
(i)
Removelarge O-ring seal from drive side; discard.
(j)
Removeretainerringsecuring seal in drive sidesealbore. Note proper position of seal during disassembly.Removeand discard twopart seal.

InstallnewO-ringsealondriveside.

Matecenterplateassemblywithdrivesideassembly.Aligndowelpins.
(f)
Installdriveshaftfromenginesideof drive sideassembly.
(g)
Installsecondaryshaftintocenterplate.Installdriveandsecondarygearsontodriveand secondaryshafts.Ensuredrivepincounterboreondrivegearfacespumprearside. Install drivepins.
(h)
Installfourstudsand new O-ringsealonrearside assembly.
(i)
Lightlyoilgearteethwithhydraulicfluidbeforecompletingassembly.
(j)
Materearsideassemblywithcenterplate,aligningdriveandsecondaryshaftswithrespective holesin rear side assembly.
(k)
Replacefourlocknutson studs extendingoutofdrive side flangematingwith centerplate.
(I)
Replacefoursocketheadcap screws securingrearside,centerplate,anddrive side assemblies.Torquesocketheadcapscrewsandlocknutto60 inch-pounds.
(m)When pump is assembled, turn drive shaftbyhandand ensure pumpturnsfreely.If sticking or bindingexist,disassemblepumpand determine problem.Donotapplypowerto pump untilit turnsfreelybyhand.
67.Cleaning,Inspection,andRepairofHydraulicPump.
(MilitarySpecification or equivalentcommercialcleaningsolvent.Cleanall openings andpassageswithfinefiberbrush dippedinsolvent.Do not scrubsurfaceswithtoolthatwillcausescratches.
(a) Immerseandwashall metallic partsin trichlorethylene MIL-T-7003)

inspectallpartsforscoring,nicks,scratches, corrosion,cracks,andexcessivewear.Inspectall threaded surfacesforchipped,crossed,or strippedthreads.Ensureall parts conformto information inChart601.

Understronglight and magnification, pitting,
NOTE:Whenpumpoperatesunderconditionswherepartsexceedwearlimits,pumpwill not produceratedcapacityandsystemwillnot function properly.Repairorreplaceparts notwithinstatedlimits.
