Lubricatepump body bore and slide plunger and gland into pump body.

Install scraper onto gland recess by sliding scraper over plunger with tapered lip of scraper facingoutward.

Attachbracketto pump body with four screws. Torque to 70 inch-pounds.
(k)
Positionlink and Install quick click pin.
(I)
LubricateO-ring and install on seat.
(m)Install spring, ball, and lubricatedseatinto pump body suction port. Secure with snap ring.
73.Cleaning, Inspection, and Repair of Hand Pump.
(a)
Cleanpump parts with suitable solvent and dry thoroughly.
(b)
Inspectplunger for enlarged pinholes and inspect surface area for scratches, burrs, etc, which coulddamageO-ring.
(c)
Inspect check balls and seats for damaged seatingareas and corrosion.
(d)
Check general conditionof all other parts.
(e)
Repairstopumpare limited to polishingoutsmallscratches,burrs,etc. ReplacewornO-rings anddamagedparts.
74. Installationof Hand Pump.
(a)
Positionhandpumpon mounting bracketand secure withbolts.
(b)
Connect hydraulic pressureand suction lines to forward end of pump.
(c)
Bleed hand pump and test hand pump operation.
(d)
Installaccesspanel.
(e)
Ensure reservoir is filled with hydraulic fluid.
75. Bleeding Hand Pump.
Purge hand pumpby operating pumpuntil all air is expelled from pump. Thisusually requires approximately15 pump cycles.
