DoorSeals Removal
(a)
Removelowertrim from door. Disconnect rubberhose from inlet valve on seal.
(b)
Removerubber seal from around door using MEK or white gas to cut through cement.
(c)
Cleandoor, and seal with MEK or white gas to remove all traces of old cement.
CAUTION: WHEN REMOVING INLET VALVE FROM DOOR HOLE, USE EXTREME CAUTIONNOT TO DAMAGE IT.

3. DoorSeals Installation
(a) Clean both doors and seal with MEK or white gas prior to applying cement.
(b)Applyan even coat of 3M EC-1403cementto cleaned surfaces of door and seal. Allow to dry andapply a second coat; let dry.
CAUTION: BE SURE TO AVOID GETTING CEMENT ON AREAS NOT TO BE CEMENTED.
(c) Activatecement by wiping cementedsurfaceslightly with Toluol. Wipe approximately2 feet at a time; immediately positionand press seal in place. Start at the air inlet on the inflatable seal.
CAUTION: DO NOT STRETCH THE INFLATABLE SEAL. MARK SEAL AND DOOR AT 10 INCH INTERVALS TO GAUGE LENGTH.
(d)
After positioning seal correctly on door, press seal firmly in place to assure complete adhesion.
(e)
Clean off excess cement with a cloth dampened in MEK or white gas. Allow cement to set for 4 hours before usingdoor and inflatingseal.
(f)
Connect rubber hose to inlet valve. Replace trim panel over door.

A. CargoDoor
1. CargoDoorRemoval (Figure401)
(a)
Withdoor open, disconnect doorsupportassemblyfromdoor.
(b)
Removehingepin. Remove doorfromairplane.
2. CargoDoorInstallation(Figure401)
(a)
Positiondoorand align hinges. Insert hinge pin and blend both ends.
(b)
Attachdoorsupportassemblyto door.
(c)
Operate door latch to determine locking pins are engaging properly.
3. CargoDoor Latch Assembly
The latchingmechanismconsists of three lockingpins,two latch assemblies,and a seriesof push rods controlled by two bellcranks from a centrallylocatedhandle.
(a) CargoDoor Latch Assembly Removal
(1.) Removetrim panelsand bellcrank coverplates.
(2.) Index push rods to aid in reassembly.
(3.) Remove hardwaresecuringpush rods to bellcranks.
(4.) Remove bellcrankassemblies from door along with teflon washersusedon left bellcrank
only. (5.) Removehardwaresecuringpushrods to upper doorlatch assemblies. (6.) Removepushrodsfrom door. (7.) Remove remaining push rods withattachedlockingpins.
(b) CargoDoor Latch AssemblyInstallation
(1.) Installupperdoor latch assemblypush rods. Securewith appropriatehardware.
(2.) Installremainingpushrods with locking pins attached.
(3.) Install bellcrank assemblies,usingnewteflon washers whererequired.
(4.) Secure push rod assemblies to bellcrank assembliesusing appropriate hardware.
(5.) Install bellcrankcover plates.
(6.) With door handle in closed position, check three locking pins for proper extension
(approximately1.75 inches). (7.) Ensure all locknuts on push rods are secure. Be sure door latch assembly operates freely. (8.) Install trim panelspreviouslyremoved.

B. Nacelle Locker Door

With nacelle locker door open and supported, remove cotter pin and washer from door support assembly hinge pin.
