4. Condition (Start Control) Lever Rigging
NOTE: Condition lever and start control are the same. Low idle is same as ground idle.
(a)
Refer to Figure 506. Check that fuel condition cable rod end bearing is disconnected from condition lever arm extension.
(b)
Referto Figure 507. Set cockpit condition lever to locate roller in low idle detent.
(c)
Refer to Figure 506. Position fuel control unit condition lever arm in low idle position.
(d)
Inserta 0.187 inch bolt rigging pin through elongated hole in condition lever arm into rigging hole in fuel control unit.
(e)
Adjust condition lever cable rod end bearing to align with hole in condition lever arm extension.
(f)
Attach rod end bearing to arm extension with bolt and nut.
(g)
Tighten rod end bearing jam nut to 35-50 inch-pounds.
(h)
Removeriggingpin.
(i)
Position condition lever arm in high idle position. Check that lever arm is contacting high idle stop.
(j)
Referto Figure 507. Check that cockpit condition lever has 0.06 to 0.10 inch spring back in high idle. Adjust stop as required.
(k)
Place condition lever in low idle detent.
(I)
Movecockpit condition lever to high idle and back to low idle position. Check that condition lever roller is in low idle detent.
