Fuselage
A. General
The fuselage is an all metal, semi-monocoquestructure which consists of the nose section, the pressurized cabin section, and the tail cone section.
The nose section, forward of station 57.00, houses the forward baggage compartment, the avionics compartment, and nose wheel attachment points.
The cabin section, from station 57.00 to station 332.00, contains the crew, passenger compartments, and attachment points for the wings, cabin, and cargo doors.
The tail cone section, aft of station 332.00, has the empennage attached.

A. MainFrame
1. Description
The fuselage is an all metal,semi-monocoquestructureconsistingof bulkheads, stringers, stiffeners,and longitudinal beamsto which the outer skinis rivetted. The fuselage ispressurized betweenbulkhead57.00and 332.00. Windowsincludea two piecewindshield,fivewindowsalongthe rightside of the fuselage, andfourwindowsalong the leftwith a stormwindowfor the pilot. A
25.75by 19.75 inchemergencyexit is an integralpartof the third right window and is removable whenthe release, locatedabovethe window, is pulled. Thewindowis sealed when installedin the fuselageand must be carefullyreinstalledwheneverremovedto maintain the pressure seal. The cabinentrancedoorislocatedon the left side of the fuselagejustaft of the wing. It is a one piece
doorwhichswingsdown to open andprovidescabinentrancesteps. A snubberis installed to
preventthe door from droppingtoo fastwhen opened. A cargo door,located in the left sideof the
fuselageaft of the maincabin entrance door,swingsup only after the cabinentrancedoor has
beenopened. Thisdoorpermitsrapid loading and storage of cargo and facilitatesloadingitems
normallytoo bulkyto passthroughthe cabin entrancedoor. All wiring, plumbing,andcontrol cablespassingthroughthe pressurizedportion of the fuselage aresealedto minimize air leakage.Majorrepairsto the fuselage mustbe completedaccordingto AC 43.13-1A.
WARNING: DO NOT ADD HOLES TOANY OF THE REINFORCEMENTCHANNELSAND PRESSUREBULKHEADS.
2. ForwardBaggageCompartment
The forward baggagecompartmentis located betweenstation15.00 and station22.00. The
baggagecompartmentfloorboardis an integral part of the fuselage and is supported by bulkheads, beams,and reinforcingangles. Accessto the baggage compartmentis through the forward baggagecompartmentdoor, on the leftside of the fuselage. Accesspanelsareprovidedin the floorboardfor inspectionof the airframe and components.
