2. PowerLevel Control Installation
Thisparagraphdescribespowercable adjustments requiredfollowinganengine installation. If a new power cableis installed,see Power Lever Control Cable for preliminary rigging.
(a)
Refer to Installation of Power LeverControlCable and complete items(1.)through(13.),as required.
(b)
Set cockpit powerleversin idle stop.
(c)
Refer to Figure406. Installriggingpin.
(d)
Adjustrod end bearingto align with holein top of throttle arm. Install using bolt,washers,and castellatednut. Safety withcotter pin.
(e)Tightenjam nut; crimp safetywasher.
(f) Removeriggingpin. Push cockpit thrustlevers full forward.
(g)Referto Figure 503 or 504. FuelControlUnitpower lever shouldcontactmaximumNg forward power stop. Adjust controlcablesystemas required. Do not adjust maximum forwardNg stop screwof fuel control unit.
CAUTION: WHEN ENGINE IS NOT RUNNING,ANY ATTEMPT TO MOVE POWER LEVERS INTO REVERSE POSITIONWHENPROPELLERPUSH-PULLWIREROPE CLEVIS IS CONNECTED TO PROPELLER CAM,WILL RESULT IN BENDING OR KINKING OF WIRE ROPE.

Refer to Figure405. Disconnectpush-pullwireropeclevisfrompropellercontrolcam.

Referto Figure 503 or 504. Movecockpitpowerleversinto reverse modeuntil fuel controlunit powerlevercontactsmaximumreversepowerstop.
() Referto Figure 406. Adjustreversepowerstopsothat gap X, between powerstopandseal nut, is at least 0.010 inches.
(k)
Movecockpitpower levers forwardpastidleposition,then back to idle gate.Adjustpower controlcablerod end bearing (Figure406),if required, so that:
(1.) Fuelcontrolunitlever idle stop (Figure503or 504) isbeing contacted.
(2.) Riggingpinholeson propeller controlcamassembly(Figure404) are aligned.
(I) Referto Figure 405. Connectpush-pullwire rope rearendclevisat second hole from topof propellercam with pin and washer;safetywith cotter pin.
3. FrontEnd Rigging
NOTE:Propellerand carbon blockmust be installed before making followingadjustments.
(a) Betavalveadjustment.
(1.) Location:Right side of propellergovernor.(SeeFigure505.)
(2.) Setcockpitpowercontrolleverin takeoff (full forward) position.
(3.) Faceof beta valveclevis slot should beflushwith beta stopnut. To adjust:
(a.) Disconnect wireropefrontend clevis from reversing arm. (b.) To maintain face of betavalveclevis slot flush withbetastopnut,adjust front end clevisto align with hole in reversing arm. (c.) Attach front endclevis to reversingarmwith bolt and castellated nut.
(4.) Tighten all back up nuts to a torque of 68 to 85 inchpounds,andsafety.
