1. Cabin Entrance Door Removal (Figure 401)
(a)
Placea padded supportunderthe door to relieve tension from the two supportcables.
(b)
Removescuffcover from over the door hinge.
(c)
Remove boot over the door snubber attachmentpointon door. Disconnectsnubber if installed. (Refer to Paragraph Cabin Door Snubber.)
(d)
Disconnecttwo supportcables from door.
(e)
Disconnectpressure line to door seal.
(f)
Removehingepin and lift door to separate hinges. Removedoor from airplane.
2. Cabin Entrance Door Installation (Figure 401)
(a)
Placea padded supportunderdoor.
(b)
Positionhinge half on the door and half on the airplane. Install hinge pin.
(c)
Connecttwo support cables to door.
(d)Connect pressure line to door seal.
(e)Connectdoorsnubberand replace boot,if installed.
(f)
Installscuff cover over door hinge.
(g)
Removepaddedsupportfrom under door.Checkdoor fit.
3. CabinEntrance Door Inspection
(a)
Makea visual inspectionof parts for excessive wear,metal fatigue, andsigns of improper adjustments.
(b)
Operatedoorlatchmechanism.Checkforproperfunctioningofall locking lugsandfor signs of binding.
(c)
Referto paragraphs for repair andserviceinstructionsof various door components.
(d)
Refer to 12-20-00for proper lubricationof door and related mechanisms.
