(k) If necessary, removecable section between power lever and wing connection. (Refer to Figure 403.)
(1.) Place cockpit power controllever in idle position. (2.) In cockpit engine controls pedestal, measure and record distanceA between top of swivel ball joint and bottom of cable end clevis. (3.) Measure and record distance from top of support bracketand bottom of cross start and autofeathermicroswitchactuatingcylinder.

(4.) Loosen cylinder set screws. Slide cylinder up on cable far enoughtopermit removing seal nut from threadedcable housing. (5.) Remove seal nut and slide up on cable far enoughto expose end of threaded cable housing. (6.) Measure and record distance B between top of support bracket and end of threaded cable
housing. (7.) Loosen end clevis jam nut. (8.) Remove threadedmale end of swivel connector and clevis. (9.) Loosen swivel connector jamnut. Remove clevis jam nut, swivel connector,swivel
connectorjamnut, microswitch actuatingcylinder,and seat nut from cable. (10.)Removetop support bracket jam nut from cable. (11.) Disconnect cable connector in leading edge of wing. (12.)Removeall cable clamps along wing leading edge. (13.)ln cockpit controlpedestal, push cable down throughhole in support bracket. (14.)Removebottomsupport bracket jam nut from cable. (15.)Noterouting and attachmentpoints;removecable by pulling up and out through pedestal.
3. Installationof Power Lever Control Cable
CAUTION: DURING INSTALLATION, CABLE SHOULD BE ROUTED WITHOUT RESTRAINTAT EITHER END. DO NOT TWIST OR USE UNDUE OR EXCESSIVE FORCE.
(a) Installcablesectionbetweenwing connection and engine:
NOTE: Before installingnew cable section, be sure respective cable ends are at their proper positions.
(1.) Starting at engine nacelle, carefully work cable throughnacelle and engine firewall. (2.) Refer to Figure 402. Install jam nut 2 inches onto control cable housing. (3.) Insert cable through supportbracket. Install jam nut that butts againstfrontside of
supportbracket.
(4.) Adjust the front and rear supportbracket jam nuts until distance Y between end of cable housing threads and support bracketequals the distancedeterminedduring removal. If cableis being installed during an engine installation,adjustdistanceY 1.60 ± 0.020 inches.
(5.) Tighten support bracket jam nuts.
(6.) Installand tighten seal nut. Double safetyto bracket.
(7.) If required,install jam nut, safety washer, and rod end onto threadedmale end of ball joint

swivelconnector.Checkfor proper thread engagementin rod end. (8.) Install assembled reversepower stop, jam nut and special boltonto threaded end of
cable;turnuntil threads bottom. (9.) Install jam nut onto threaded endof cable. (10.)Installfemaleend of ball joint control pivotonto threaded endof cable; turn until threads
bottom. (11.)Lock jam nut against control pivot end to a torque of 35-40 inch-pounds.

(13.)Referto Figure402. Byturning reversepowerstop,adjustgapX to the distance determinedduring removal. Ifcable is beinginstalledduringanengineinstallation,adjust distanceX to 0.950 inches.
(14.)Lockjam nutagainstreversepowerstop.
(15.)Connectcableconnectorin wingleadingedge.
(16.)Checkthat cable iscorrectlyroutedand nottwisted;tightencableclampsalongwing

leadingedge. (17.)Installenginecowlingand nacelleaccesscovers. (18.)Supportwingleadingedgeandconnectwingdeicehose. Installleadingedgeon wing. (19.)Installwingleadingedgefairingson inboardsideof nacelleandat fuselage. (20.)Runup enginesandcheckalignment(Chart2). Referto EngineRunningAdjustments
this sectionfor proceduresto makealignmentadjustments.
(b) InstallCableBetweenPowerLeverand WingConnection.
