Disconnect the electrical connector DR12 or DR13 from the contactor.

Disconnect the electrical leads from the contactor:

 (a)  
Loosen the screws that attach the two terminal covers to the contactor.

 (b)  
Remove the terminal covers.

 (c)  
Remove the nuts and the washers that attach the six electrical leads to the terminal studs on the contactor.

 (d)  
Attach an identification tag to each electrical lead.

 (e)  
Remove the electrical leads from the terminal studs.

Remove the external power contactor:

 (a)  
Remove the four screws that attach the contactor to the panel.

 (b)  
Remove the external power contactor from the panel.

 (c)  
Install the terminal washers, the terminal nuts, and the terminal cover.
