Selecting the battery (BAT) position of the standby power selector removes the ground from the coil of the APU standby bus transfer relay, which also switches the system to the output of the APU static inverter.

115-VOLT AC STANDBY POWER GENERATION - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The tasks are operational tests of the 115-volt ac standby power generation system.
B. The first task is a short operational test. The test makes sure that the system supplies 115-volt ac power to the ac standby buses.
C. The second task is an operational test to make sure that all components in the system operate correctly. This test also checks to make sure that the 115-volt ac power standby bus can be powered from DC bus three. The test includes a check of these components:

All other related components.
