Connect the lower electrical cables to the relay:
(a)
Remove the screws that attach the lower terminal covers to the relay.
(b)
Remove the lower terminal cover.
(c)
Remove the nuts and the washers from the terminal studs on the relay.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU CONNECT THE CORRECT TERMINAL CABLE TO EACH
_______ STUD ON THE RELAY. AN INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THE CIRCUIT AND DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(d)
Connect the lower terminal cables to the lower terminal studs on the relay.
CAUTION:_______INSTALL THE WASHERS ABOVE THE ELECTRICAL CABLES. AN INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE HEAT. THE HEAT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE RELAY.
(e)
Install the washers and the nuts that attach the lower terminal cables to the relay.
(f)
Tighten the nuts to 53-60 pound-inch.
NOTE: If a relay has the torque values on the relay body, use
____ the torque values on the relay body.
(g)
Remove the identification labels from the terminal cables.
(h)
Put the lower terminal cover in its position on the relay.
(i)
Install the screws that attach the lower terminal cover to the relay.

Remove the screws that attach the top terminal cover to the relay.
(b)
Remove the top terminal cover.
(c)
Remove the nuts and the washers from the terminal studs on the relay.

(e)
Install the washers and the nuts that attach the top terminal cables to the relay.
(f)
Tighten the nuts from 53-60 pound inch.
NOTE: If the relay has the torque values printed on the relay
____ body use the torque values on the relay body.
(g)
Remove the identification labels from the terminal cables.
(h)
Put the top terminal cover in its position on the relay.
(i)
Install the screws that attach the top terminal cover to the relay.
(j)
Tighten the screws 7-8 pound-inch.

Do a Test of the Ground Handling Relay or the Ground Service Select Relay

(1) Supply electrical power to the ground service bus and the ground handling bus (Ref 24-22-00/201).
NOTE: Use external power or APU generator power for this task.

Do a test of the relay:
(a)
Get access to the EXISTING FAULTS for Chapter 24 from the CMCS (Ref 45-10-00/201).
(b)
Make sure that there are no CMCS fault messages for the ground handling relays or the ground service relays.
