Connect the electrical connector (DM7432B) to the APU battery receptacle.
(b)
Put the APU battery connector (DM7432A) into the receptacle on the APU battery.
(c)
Turn the knob on the connector clockwise with your hand until it is tight.

Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the BATTERY switch.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a)
On the P183 panel:
1) APU BAT CHGR
2) APU BATTERY BUS
(b)
On the P6 panel:
1) 6J9, APU BAT BUS APU BAT-CONT
(7)
Make sure the APU battery operates correctly on the next APU start.

APU BATTERY - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General________
A. This procedure contains a task to do the operation test of the APU battery (M7432).
B. The APU battery is installed on the E-33 equipment rack with the APU battery charger. The E-33 equipment rack is on the left side of the aft passenger cabin. Access to the E-33 equipment rack is through the E-33 access door.

Do a Test of the APU Battery

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Do a test of the APU battery:
(a)
Get access to the maintenance page for the electrical system (AMM 45-10-00/201).
(b)
Make sure the DC-Volts for the APU battery is more than 24 volts.
(c)
Make sure the DC-Amps is in the positive CHG mode.
(d)
Set the STANDBY POWER switch, on the P5 panel, to BAT.
(e)
Make sure the main EICAS display operates correctly.
(f)
Make sure the advisory EICAS message BAT DISCH APU shows on the main EICAS screen.
(g)
Set the STANDBY POWER switch, on the P5 panel, to AUTO.

Remove electrical power, if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).
