 A.  The following describes procedures for removing and installing the APU transformer rectifier unit (TRU) H123. In addition to the removal and installation instructions for the APU TRU, the procedure includes an operational test to verify operation of the device following installation.
 B.  The APU TRU is mounted in the E-33 equipment rack with the APU battery. The E-33 equipment rack is located in the aft passenger cabin on the left side.
 C.  Access to the E-33 equipment rack is gained by opening the E-33 access door.

Verify APU switch, located on the P5 overhead panel, is set to the OFF position and attach DO-NOT-OPERATE identifier.

Open circuit breakers as follows for APU TRU, and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE identifiers:

P180, DC Power Distribution Panel
 1) 180C7, APU-TRU CONT

Disconnect electrical connector (DH123) from receptacle on APU TRU.

Remove three nuts from the APU TRU fan shroud to gain access to the APU TRU power terminals. Remove fan shroud.

Remove two terminal nuts and two washers that secure each of the two APU TRU power leads to the APU TRU; disconnect leads.

 NOTE: Identify each of the terminal leads that connect to the
____ terminals of the APU TRU for reinstallation.

Reinstall terminal nuts and washers. Tighten finger-tight.

Reinstall APU TRU fan shroud and secure with the three nuts. Tighten nuts.

Remove four bolts and washers securing APU TRU to the E-33 equipment rack.
