MAIN DECK CARGO HANDLING TRANSFORMER RECTIFIER UNIT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. The following describes procedures for removing and installing the main deck cargo handling transformer rectifier unit (TRU) T177.
B. The main deck cargo handling TRU is located in the area between the nose gear wheel well and fuselage on the right hand side. There is one TRU mounted to the forward side of the bulkhead (station 400) just forward of the main equipment center.
C. Access to the main deck cargo handling TRU is gained through a small access way from the electrical and electronics compartment.

Open circuit breaker as follows for TRU and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE identifier:
(a)
P415, Power Distribution Center - Right 1) 415G16, MAIN DECK CARGO HDLG TRU
(2)
Remove nuts securing terminal block cover to terminal block on TRU.

Remove five terminal block screws that secure each of the five terminal leads to TRU and disconnect leads.

NOTE: Identify each of the five terminal leads that connect to

the TRU for reinstallation.

(4) Reinstall terminal block screws and tighten finger-tight.
