Install the disable relay:
(a)
Install the three screws that attach the relay to the P183 panel.
(b)
Tighten the screws.
(c)
Install the screws that attach the P183 panel to the E-33 equipment rack.

Connect the electrical connector to the APU battery:
(a)
Put the APU battery connector (DM7432A) into the receptacle on the APU battery.
(3)
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the BATTERY switch.

Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Do a test of the disable relay:
(a)
Set the STANDBY POWER switch, on the P5 panel, to BAT.
(b)
Make sure the advisory EICAS message >BAT DISCH APU shows on the main EICAS display.
(c)
Set the STANDBY POWER switch to AUTO.

APU BATTERY BUS TRANSFER RELAY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. One task is the removal of the transfer relay for the APU battery bus (R7687). The other task is the installation of the transfer relay.
B. The transfer relay is installed in the P180 DC power distribution panel. The P180 panel is between the nose gear wheel well and the fuselage, on the right side. Access to the P180 panel is through an access opening, forward of the E/E compartment.

Make sure all electrical power is off (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Make sure the BATTERY switch, on the P5 panel, is set to OFF and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.

Disconnect the electrical connectors from the batteries:
(a)
Turn the knob on the main battery connector (DM7423A) counterclockwise until the connector is free from the main battery receptacle.
