CAUTION:_______DO NOT OPERATE THE APU DURING THIS TASK. TRANSIENTS CAN CAUSE THE APU TO SHUT DOWN. AN APU SHUT OFF CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PACKS AND THE APU.
(1) Apply external power to the airplane (AMM 24-22-00/201).
NOTE: If you use only one external power cable, the SSB can
____ open during these procedures. IF this occurs, push the SPLIT SYSTEM BREAKER switch on the GEN FIELD MAN RESET panel to close the SSB.

Do a test of the indicator lights for the electrical system.
(a)
Push the IND LTS switch, on the P5 overhead panel, to TEST.
(b)
Make sure that all of the indicator lights for the electrical system are on.
NOTE: The indicator lights are on the P5 overhead panel
____ and the P461 overhead maintenance panel.
(c) Set the IND LTS switch to BRT.

Make sure that the BUS TIE 1, 2, 3, and 4 ISLN lights are off.

If an ISLN light is on, push the applicable ISLN BUS TIE switch.

Set the STORM switch to OFF.

(5) S 865-008Open this circuit breaker to remove the ground service bus power from the flight compartment dome lights: (a) P6, Main Power Distribution Panel 1) 6F24, FLT DK LIGHTS DOME
(6) S 715-009Make sure that the flight compartment dome lights are on.
(7) S 865-010Set the IRS L, C, and R mode select switches to OFF.
(8) S 865-011Set the GND TESTS switch, on the P461 overhead maintenance panel, to NORM.
