MAIN STATIC INVERTER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. One task is the removal of the main static inverter (M7438). The other task is the installation of the main static inverter.
B. The installation task includes an operational test of the main static inverter.
C. The main static inverter is installed in the E-30 equipment rack. The main static inverter is adjacent to the main battery charger and the four main TRUs. The E-30 equipment rack is between the nose gear wheel well and the fuselage, on the right side. Access to the E-30 equipment rack is through an access opening forward of the E/E compartment.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

1) 6K2 MN BAT CONT INVERTER PWR
2) 6K5 TRU - CONT INVERTER PWR

Make sure the standby power switch is set to OFF.

Remove the main static inverter from the E-30 equipment rack (Ref 20-11-22/401).
