 WARNING: STATIC ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD MAY EXIST IF THE AIRPLANE MEETS
_______ THE TEST REQUIREMENTS. MAKE SURE THE AIRPLANE HAS SUFFICIENT ELECTRICAL BONDING BEFORE DOING MAINTENANCE.

Do this check when the usual procedure to refuel the airplane does not attach the static ground cable to the earth-ground facility connection point. Do not use this procedure to check the electrical bonding of airplane components.

Procedure

 S 766-021
 (1)  
Prepare to check the continuity between the receptacle neutral pins and the grounding stud.

 (a)  
Remove electrical power from the airplane (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (b)  
Open the door 118A for the external power receptacle.

 (2)  
Check the continuity between the receptacle neutral pins and the grounding stud.

 (a)  
Use the low resistance ohmmeter to measure the resistance from the neutral pins on the receptacles to the nose gear grounding stud.

 (b)  
Make sure the resistance does not exceed 0.1 ohms.

 (c)  
If the resistance exceeds 0.1 ohms, do these tasks:
 1) "External Power Receptacle Pin Visual Inspection"
 (AMM 24-41-03/601).

 2)  "External Power Receptacle Pin Inspection" (AMM 24-41-03/601).

 (d)  
If the problem continues, examine and repair the wiring between the external power receptacle neutral pins and the associated ground stud.

 (3)  
Put the Airplane back to its usual condition.

 (4)  
Close the door 118A for the receptacles.

 EXTERNAL POWER CONTACTOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks. One task is the removal of the external power contactors (R12 and R13). The other task is the installation of the external power contactors.
 B.  The installation task includes an operational test of the external power contactors.
 C.  The external power contactor R12 is installed in the P714 auxiliary/external No. 1 power center. The external power contactor R13 is installed in the P715 auxiliary/external No. 2 power center. The P714 and P715 power centers are in the E/E compartment.
