A. Installation of the Heater Element
(1) Preparation for installation: WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THE

SPECIAL MATERIAL.
THIS MATERIAL IS DANGEROUS.
(a) Clean the waste water line with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-001) and a lint-free cloth.
(2)
Do a visual inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Put the heater element (7) in position on the line. NOTE : Make sure that the heater element is correctly installed on
____
the bridge(s).
(4)
Attach the heater element (7) with the BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-001).
(5)
Connect the three wires of the heater element (7) to the terminal block.
(6)
Install the waste water de-icing sensor (40DU) (Ref. TASK 30-71-17-400-001).
(7)
Put the insulation sleeve (5) along the pipe.
NOTE : Make sure that the glass wool mat is in correct position on
____
the waste water line.
(8)
Put the BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-001) on the junction line of the insulation sleeve (5).
(9)
Put the insulation muffs (3) in position.
(10)
Put the adhesive tape on the junction line of the insulation muffs (3).
(11)
Put the velcro tape (4) in position.
(12)
Install the spacers (8), the clamp (9), the spacer (10) and the screw (11).
(13)
Tighten the screw (10).
(14)
Put the label, the CAUTION label (2) in position and attach them with the ties (1). FOR 43DU, 44DU Bond the waste water marker (1) and the flow direction marker (2). FOR 45DU, 46DU, 47DU Not applicable.
NOTE : Do not damage the insulation sleeve (5) with the cable-ties.

Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to OFF.
(4)
Close the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-002).

B. De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
