(1)
Put an access platform in position at the FWD cargo-compartment door
825.
(2)
Open the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3)
Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to ON.
(4)
In the FWD cargo compartment, remove the panel(s):
FOR 43DU
131GW, 131HW, 131GF, 131FF, 131SF.
FOR 44DU, 45DU, 46DU, 47DU
131TF, 132TF

C. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Removal of the Heater Element
(1)
Remove and discard the cable ties of the identification and warning labels.
(2)
Remove the screw (11), the spacers (10), (8) and the clamps (9).
(3)
Cut the ties (1) that hold the label and the CAUTION label (2). FOR 43DU, 44DU Remove the flow direction marker and the waste water marker. FOR 45DU, 46DU, 47DU Not applicable.
(4)
Remove the velcro tape (4), the adhesive tape and the insulation
muffs (3).
(5)
Carefully remove and discard the adhesive tape that which is on the longitudinal cut of the insulation sleeve (5).
(6)
Remove the insulation sleeve (5) that insulates the waste water line.
(7)
Disconnect the three wires of the heater element (7) from the
terminal block.
NOTE : Identify all the electrical wires before you disconnect them.

(8)
Remove the waste water de-icing sensor (40DU) (Ref. TASK 30-71-17-000-001).
(9)
Remove and discard the heat-shrink sleeve (6) and the glass fiber
tape that attaches the heater element (7) to the waste water line.
NOTE : Do not damage the waste water line when you remove the

heat-shrink sleeve.
(10) Remove the heater element (7).
