C. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position at the FWD cargo-compartment door
825.
(2)
Open the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3)
Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to ON.
(4)
In the FWD cargo compartment, remove the access panel(s): FOR 4DW 131GW, 131HW FOR 16DW 131HW FOR 335DW 131HW, 131SW

A. Removal of the Heater Elements
(1)
Remove and discard the cable ties of the identification and warning labels.
(2)
Remove the clamps (2) and the spacers (1).
(3)
Remove the velcro tape (3), the adhesive tape and the insulation muffs (4).
(4)
Carefully remove and discard the adhesive tape (6) which is on the longitudinal cut of the insulation sleeve (5).

Remove the insulation sleeve (5) that insulates the potable water line.
(6)
Disconnect the three wires (10) of the heater element (9) from the terminal strip.
NOTE : Identify all the electrical wires before you disconnect them.

(7)
If necessary, remove the potable-water de-icing sensor (10DW) (Ref. TASK 30-73-17-000-002).
(8)
Remove and discard the heat-shrink sleeve (7) and the glass fiber tape (8) that attaches the heater element (9) to the potable water line.
NOTE : Do not damage the potable water line when you remove the

heat-shrink sleeve.
(9) Remove the heater element (9).
