B. Installation of the Wiper Arm (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 30-45-52-991-001, 402/TASK 30-45-52-991-002)
(1) Install the wiper arm (8) on the splined shaft (5) and make sure that the wiper blade (1) is correctly installed (parking position).
(2) Make sure visually that the wiper blade (1), the wiper arm (8), the stops for the wiper blade in the parking position and the lift block are in the correct position. Make sure that the rubber of the wiper blade (1) is not worn.

(3)
When the wiper is in the parking position on the windshield, the lower edge of the rubber block (3) of the fitting that attaches the wiper blade (1) to the wiper arm (8) must be 3.5 +0.8 -0.8 mm (0.14 +0.03 -0.03 in.) from the windshield frame.
(4)
Install the screw (6) and TORQUE to 0.5 m.daN (44.24 lbf.in) and adjust the bolt (7).
(5)
If a roller (10) is installed on the wiper arm (8):
(a)
Turn the adjustment screw (9) until the roller support touches the wiper arm (8).
(b)
Make sure that after the adjustment, the roller (10) of the wiper arm (8) does not touch the windshield when the wiper blade (1) touches the windshield.

C. Adjustment
(1) Adjustment of the wiper blade (1) pressure on the rest blocks (2) and (4): (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 30-45-52-991-001)
(a) With an adjustable roller (10) installed on the wiper arm (8): 1 Put the wiper arm (8) in the center position on the
_
windshield.
2 Turn the adjustment screw (9) to get a minimum clearance of 1
_ mm (0.0393 in.) between the roller (10) and the windshield.
3 Put the wiper arm (8) in the parking position.
_
4 Make sure that the wiper blade (1) touches the rest blocks (2)
_
and (4).
a If there is no contact between the wiper blade (1) and the
_ rest blocks (2) and (4): correctly adjust the roller (10) to move it in the wiper arm (8) with the applicable value until the blade touches the rest blocks (2) and (4) without blade crash.
b If the wiper blade (1) is crashed on the rest blocks (2)
_ and (4), the adjustment of the roller (10) must not be changed after the adjustment of the clearance.

(b) With a roller (10) nstalled on the wiper arm (8):
1_ Adjust the blade pressure on the rest blocks (2) and (4) by
the adjusting screw (9) of the roller (10).
2_ Turn the adjustment screw (9) until the wiper arm (1) touches
the rest blocks (2) and (4) without blade crash.
(2) Adjustment of the force of the blade on the windshield: (Ref. Fig. 403/TASK 30-45-52-991-003)
