D. Prepare To Service The Windows.

Remove the sidewall panel for the non-structural inner window and the shade (AMM 25-21-05/201).

Remove the window assembly (AMM 56-21-01/401).

CAUTION:_______DO NOT RUB DRY PLASTIC WITH A DRY CLOTH. THIS CAN CAUSE SCRATCHES AND BUILD AN ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE WHICH WILL ALSO MAKE DUST AND PARTICLES ATTACH TO THE WINDOW.

Clean the inner surface of the outer pane.

Clean the two surfaces of the middle pane.

Clean the outboard surface of the non-structural inner pane (part of the sidewall lining).
NOTE: Use warm water and castile soap to clean the windows.

Apply the soap solution to the window with a soft, clean, cotton flannel cloth.
(b)
Clean the window surface with your bare hand only.
NOTE: Your bare hand can find dirt before it can scratch the

window.
(c) Dry the window with a clean, damp chamois.
E. Apply the Antistatic Agent.

(1) Apply the antistatic agent.
(a)
Mix 10 parts (by weight) of antistatic agent with 120 parts of water.
(b)
Soak the boiled cheesecloth with the antistatic solution.

Apply the antistatic agent to the inner surface of the outer pane.
(d)
Apply the antistatic agent to the two surfaces of the non-structural inner pane.
(e)
Let the window surfaces dry.
(f)
Polish the window with the boiled cheesecloth.
NOTE: Use quick, straight movements with your hand to apply as
____ light a pressure as possible.
Do not wet or touch the window surfaces after the treatment or the antistatic solution will become liquid again.
F. Put The Airplane To Its Usual Condition.
