HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS - SERVICING (HYDRAULIC REPLENISHING)

1. General_______
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1)
Hydraulic Reservoir Servicing (Manual Fill Procedure)
(2)
Hydraulic Reservoir Servicing (Pressure Fill Procedure)
(3)
A procedure(s) to transfer hydraulic fluid between systems.
B. It is necessary to pressurize the hydraulic reservoir to do the
servicing.
C. The fill ports for the hydraulic reservoir are in the the wheel well for the left body gear. You can get access to the ports through the landing gear doors.
D. These EICAS messages show adjacent to the digital indication of the hydraulic quantity on the auxiliary EICAS display:
(1)
A LO (low quantity) message will show when the hydraulic fluid quantity is 0.34 or less.
(2)
A RF (refill) message will show when the hydraulic fluid quantity is between 0.35 and 0.75.
(3)
A OF (overfull) message will show when the hydraulic fluid quantity is 1.15 or more.
(4)
The LO and RF messages show on the EICAS status, synoptic, and maintenance displays. The OF message shows on the EICAS maintenance display.

Make sure the airplane is in the correct configuration:
(a)
All the landing gear is down.
(b)
All the landing gear doors are closed.

The airplane steering is in neutral.
