(10) Adjust each shock strut until each pressure agrees with the servicing chart:
(a)
Measure dimension X.
(b)
Read the air pressure on the pressure gage.
(c)
Add or release gas until dimension X and the pressure are in the band on the servicing chart.

(11) Close the air charging valve.
(a)
Remove the hoses of the service manifold assembly from the air valves.
(b)
Tighten the swivel nut to 60-84 pound-inches.

Install the pressure caps on the air valves of each main gear.

After 5-10 landings, measure dimension X and read the pressure on the pressure gages of the wing landing gears.
(a) Add or release gas until dimension X and the pressure are in the band on the servicing chart.

3. Shock Strut Servicing Fast Check________________________________
A. General
(1)
This task provides a fast check of the landing gear shock struts. This check will help you determine if the struts are serviceable for dispatch. It must be completed at or near dispatch weight. It is not accurate at or near empty weight.
(2)
This task also provides steps to do the minimum servicing necessary to allow the airplane to dispatch.

CAUTION: DO A FULL SERVICING TO THE LANDING GEAR ON ALL AIRPLANES WHICH
_______ DO NOT COMPLETE THIS FAST CHECK PROCEDURE CORRECTLY. DO NOT DO THE SERVICING WITH THE DIMENSIONS OF THE FAST CHECK AS AN ALTERNATIVE FOR A FULL SERVICING. A LANDING GEAR WHICH HAS INCORRECT SERVICING CAN HAVE A FAILURE DURING OPERATION.
(1) Do a fast check of the landing gear:
(a)
Make sure there is no evidence of major fluid leakage.
(b)
Make sure the differences between the extended lengths of each inner cylinder is not more than 2 inches.
