 NOTE: Unless you use only a small amount of fluid, approximately

 1.0 percent of the total, you must mix MIL-H-6083 in the
 correct proportion with Lubrizol 1395 before you fill the
 shock strut.
 You can intermix MIL-H-5606 and MIL-H-6083 or use it as an
 alternative for MIL-H-5606.
 Both MIL-H-6083 and MIL-H-5606 hydraulic fluids are optional.
 The hydraulic fluid BMS 3-32 is recommended for landing gear
 shock struts.

 Type II - Royco LGF, Shell LGF and Castrolaero 40 (These fluids are the recommended fluid for servicing and contain the mixture of MIL-H-5606 and Lubrizol 1395)

SERVICING PROCEDURE
OIL SERVICING
1.
 RELEASE THE AIR PRESSURE FULLY FROM THE SHOCK STRUT THROUGH THE AIR VALVE.

2.
 FULLY COMPRESS THE INNER CYLINDER WITH DIMENSION X AT 0.55 INCH.

3.
 WITH THE SHOCK STRUT IN THE VERTICAL POSITION, FILL THE STRUT WITH THE SPECIFIED HYDRAULIC FLUID ON THE NAMEPLATE. REMOVE THE AIR VALVE DURING THIS PROCEDURE. LET THE HYDRAULIC FLUID FLOW OUT OF THE AIR VALVE PORT. LET ALL AIR BUBBLES OUT OF THE
