F. Procedure (Fig. 301)
S 843-006
(1) Do these steps to remove the hydraulic fluid from the accumulator:
(a)
Look at the pressure indication of the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage on the Captain's Main Instrument Panel, P1.
(b)
Slowly push one set of brake pedals to the limit of travel, hold momentarily, and then release. Repeat this cycle 10 times. 1) Make sure the pressure indication of the HYD BRAKE PRESS
gage decreases during manual brake operation.
2) After the 10 cycles of manual brake operation, make sure the HYD BRAKE PRESS gage shows no more decrease in pressure.

(2) Do these steps to do a check of the accumulator charge pressure:
(a)
Look at the charging instructions marker adjacent to the accmulator.
(b)
With a value for the ambient temperature of the airplane, find the correct charge pressure for the accumulator.
(c)
Look at the pressure indication on the direct reading pressure gage adjacent to the mainfold assembly.
(d)
Compare the indication of the direct reading pressure gage with the correct charge pressure shown on the charging instructions marker.

(3) If necessary, service the Hydraulic Brake Accumulator.
TASK 12-15-09-603-026
3. Service the Hydraulic Brake Accumulator
_______________________________________
A. General
(1)
This task contains a procedure to increase the precharge pressure of the Hydraulic Brake Accumulator.
(2)
In subsequent steps, the hydraulic brake accumulator is referred to as the accumulator.
