WARNING:_______ YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASKS BELOW TO INSTALL
THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE
QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS
CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Wing Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Drain the hydraulic fluid from the shock strut or shock struts that you will service (AMM 32-11-02/301).
NOTE: The referenced procedure refers to steps to clean and

CAUTION: USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED HYDRAULIC FLUID WHICH IS SHOWN ON THE
_______ SHOCK STRUT. OTHER TYPES OF FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SHOCK STRUT SEALS.
DO NOT GET HYDRAULIC FLUID ON THE TIRES. HYDRAULIC FLUID WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO TIRES.
CAUTION: IF YOU USE AN ALTERNATIVE FLUID, YOU MUST PRE-MIX THE LUBRIZOL
_______ AND FLUID BEFORE YOU FILL THE SHOCK STRUT. IF YOU ADD UNDILUTED LUBRIZOL DIRECTLY INTO THE STRUT IT CAN CLOG THE DRAIN VALVE AND REDUCE THE SERVICE LIFE OF THE SHOCK STRUT SEALS.
(6) Fill the shock strut with the specified hydraulic fluid:
(a)
Remove the pressure cap from the oil fill valve on the pressure gage (View C).
(b)
Attach the hydraulic fluid line to the oil fill valve.

(c) Make sure that the shutoff valve on the lower outer cylinder is open (View C).
NOTE: Use a 3/16-inch hex wrench to open the shutoff valve

if it is necessary.
(d)
Fill the shock strut until the hydraulic fluid flows through the air valve port without air bubbles.
(e)
Close the oil fill valve.

Install pressure cap on the oil fill valve.

Connect the hose from the service manifold assembly to the air charging valve.

Pressurize all the shock struts with nitrogen or dry air:
NOTE: Make sure the air charging valves are open.
