 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS IN ALL LANDING
_______ GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Nose Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

 (4)  
Drain the shock strut (AMM 32-21-02/301).


 S 613-024
 CAUTION: USE THE TYPE OF HYDRAULIC FLUID THAT IS SHOWN ON THE SHOCK
_______ STRUT NAMEPLATE. THE INCORRECT FLUID WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SHOCK STRUT SEALS. THIS CAUSE LEAKS FROM THE SHOCK STRUT.
 DO NOT GET HYDRAULIC FLUID ON THE TIRES. IT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TIRE.
 (5)  Fill the shock strut with the applicable hydraulic fluid:
 (a)  
Remove the pressure cap from the oil fill valve at the bottom of the shock strut (View C).

 (b)  
Attach the hydraulic fluid line to the oil fill valve.

 (c)  
Fill the shock strut until the hydraulic fluid flows through the hydraulic tube port at the top of the shock strut without air bubbles.

 (d)  Close the oil fill valve.
 (6)  S 613-056If you did not use the fully formulated fluid, do the steps that follow to add Lubrizol: (a) Remove a small quantity of fluid from the shock strut. 1) Open the oil fill valve. 2) Drain approximately 30 ounces of fluid from the shock strut.
 NOTE:____ Use the graduated container.
 (b) (c) (d) (e) (f) (g) (h)  Close the oil fill valve.Add 20 ounces of Lubrizol 1395 through the hydraulic tube port at the top of the shock strut.Connect the hydraulic fluid line to the oil fill valve and open the oil fill valve.Fill the shock strut until the hydraulic fluid flows through the air charging valve port without air bubbles.Close the oil fill valve.Remove the hydraulic charging line from the oil fill valve.Install the pressure cap on the oil fill valve.
 (7)  S 433-016Install the hydraulic tube which goes from the shutoff valve to the shock strut.
 (8)  S 433-055Connect the hose from the service manifold assembly to the air charging valve.
 (9)  S 613-007Pressurize the shock strut with nitrogen or dry air (Fig. 302).
 NOTE:____ Make sure the air charging valve is open.
 (a)  Use the manifold assembly or the strut inflation tool to pressurize the shock strut through the air valve. 1) Measure the dimension X. 2) Measure the strut pressure with a pressure gage. 3) Add or release gas until the pressure and dimension X are in the band on the servicing chart.
