F70200-14 - Strut Inflation Tool
B. Standard Tools and Equipment
(1)
Clean, nitrogen or dry air source - 2000 psi with pressure gages
(2)
Clean container with graduations - 50-ounce minimum capacity
C. Consumable Materials
(1) D00509 Fluid - Hydraulic, Petroleum Base, MIL-H-6083
NOTE: Unless you use only a small amount of fluid, approximately
____
1.0 percent of the total, you must mix MIL-H-6083 in the
correct proportion with Lubrizol 1395 before you fill the
shock strut.
You can use this fluid with MIL-H-5606 and use it as an
alternative for MIL-H-5606.
Both MIL-H-6083 and MIL-H-5606 hydraulic fluids are optional.
The hydraulic fluid BMS 3-32 is recommended for landing gear
shock struts.
(2)
D00155 Lubrizol 1395 - Shock Strut Fluid Extreme Pressure Additive
(3)
D00070 Oil - Hydraulic, Petroleum Base, MIL-H-5606
NOTE: Unless you use only a small amount of fluid, approximately
____
1.0 percent of the total, you must mix MIL-H-5606 in the
correct proportion with Lubrizol 1395 before you fill the
shock strut.
The MIL-H-5606 is recommended fluid over the MIL-H-6083
fluid.
Both MIL-H-5606 and MIL-H-6083 hydraulic fluids are optional.
The hydraulic fluid BMS 3-32 is recommended for landing gear
shock struts.
(4) D00467 Fluid - Fully Formulated Hydraulic, BMS 3-32 (Recommended)
Type I - Royco SSF, Shell SSF and Castrolaero 35 (These fluids contain the mixture of MIL-H-6083 and Lubrizol 1395)
Type II - Royco LGF, Shell LGF and Castrolaero 40 (These fluids are the recommended fluid for servicing and contain the mixture of MIL-H-5606 and Lubrizol 1395)

(1) Make sure the airplane is not on jacks.
S 863-033
WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS IN ALL LANDING
_______ GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).
S 493-034
WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASKS BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(4)
Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Body Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).
S 863-036
(5)
Make sure the airplane is empty.
NOTE: For this check, the landing weight of the airplane is
____
sufficient for the empty condition.
S 723-037
(6) Do a check of the landing gear pressurization with the airplane empty.
(a)
Measure the pressures and the extensions of the shock struts on the body landing gear.
(b)
Compare the pressures and extensions to the band on the servicing chart.
