F. Drain and Flush the Toilet Tank

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Open the door to the service panel.

Open the outer cap on the drain valve assembly.

Connect the waste drain hose on the service cart to the drain valve assembly at the service panel.
(5)
Push the PUSH-TO-OPEN lever on the drain valve assembly.
(6)
Pull the handle for the toilet drain valve at the service panel.
(7)
Make sure the indicator light comes on.

(a) Listen for the liquid flow through the hose that drains the toilet tank.

(b) Put your hand on the hose that drains the toilet tank, and feel the vibration of the liquid while it flows.

After you drain the toilet tank, push the handle for the toilet drain valve to the closed position.

Make sure the toilet drain valve indicator light is off.

Flush the toilet tank.
(a)
Connect the flush line on the service cart to the rinse fitting on the service panel.
(b)
Put a minimum of 7 U.S. gallons of water into the toilet tank with a pump.
(c)
If the rinse line shutoff valve will not open and it cannot be repaired immediately; Do the steps in "Manual Operation of the Rinse Line Shutoff Valve".
(d)
Pull the handle for the toilet drain valve at the service panel.
(e)
Make sure the indicator light comes on.
(f)
Make sure the toilet tank drains: 1) Listen for the liquid flow through the hose that drains the toilet tank.
2) Put your hand on the hose that drains the toilet tank to feel the vibration of the liquid while it flows.
(g)
Disconnect the line used to flush the toilet tank.

Push the handle for the toilet drain valve fully in.
(13)
Make sure the toilet drain valve indicator light is off.

PRECHARGE CAN FREEZE AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TOILET WASTE
SYSTEM.
(1) Method I Procedure (Alternative to Method II) - Add the chemical precharge to the toilet tank through the toilet service panel.
(a)
Connect the chemical precharge hose from the service cart to the rinse fitting on the service panel.
(b)
Pump 4.5 U.S. gallons of the chemical precharge into the toilet tank.
(c)
Disconnect the chemical precharge hose.
